'Índole / Indole'
A performance that takes place in the space surrounding the frame of a video and by a text made with the language of perfumery, exploring the untranslatable aspects of the physical body to the image. I wanted to work with the paradox of images and perfumes, that can only show you the absence of what they are made of.
Twenty close friends and members of my family created twenty videos recorded by each of them from an instruction manual. The body that normally sleeps in the bed is positioned on the edge of it to generate its own empty image. In the videos we read about the smell of the bodies while we see their own empty bed, with the marks of the movement they left on it during the night. The text of the missing body displays its aroma in language. A conceptual exercise to imagine smells.
Broadcast for a limited time during the confinement from the museum's website with the instruction to see it when waking up in the morning from bed.
