'Economía del lenguaje - Cruz roja / Economy of language – Red Cross'
OCAC Oklahoma Contemporary Art Center – Second Edition
'Economía del lenguaje / Economy of language´
The second edition of the piece, presented at the exhibition La casa que nos inventamos: Contemporary Art From Guadalajara for the OCAC Oklahoma Contemporary Art Center, was modified to fit its new context. The floor-mat made of 'Guadalajara tiles' were transported to the U.S. introducing a piece of Mexican soil into American soil. The shipped newspaper flowers were mixed with those that were manufactured in Oklahoma with local newspapers by the artist and visitors.

'Cruz roja / Red Cross'
The performance was carried out by Claudia Cisneros, artist and scenic director from Guadalajara (MX) and Maggie Boyett, dancer and choreographer from Oklahoma City, (EU). The movement of the tiles was more extensive, beginning in a space, turning it into a way to generate a new space. The costume design consisted of comfortable blue scrubs as a chromatic extension of the installation's enveloping blue light and a newspaper cowboy hat, which they wore in turns, hinting at the story and shared origin that lies between the two territories.
